Montessori Counting Board
Count on these felt hands and build a little number story
Two pink hands and colorful numbers stand out against the blue background of this felt counting board. The format brings fingers, number pieces, and arithmetic symbols together in a soft activity your child can explore on a table.
Start by counting a few fingers together. Match the total to a number, then try a simple question: what happens when one more finger joins? Arrange a small sum with the pieces and let your child check it using the hands. Keep the numbers manageable and celebrate the process of working it out.
It suits a learner who benefits from seeing an idea take shape. Handling the pieces and counting fingers encourages number recognition, quantity matching, and early addition or subtraction, connecting symbols with something visible.
